BREEZE™ DonorMatch

A Powerful Resource for Finding and Connecting with Living Kidney Donors

Prepare for Your DonorMatch Page

Using your DonorMatch Page to find your living kidney donor

What are DonorMatch Pages?

DonorMatch pages are a free and easy way for you to share your need for a kidney transplant with more people. Your page will connect interested donors to your transplant center’s living donor application site.

We encourage you to personalize your page with your own photos and information. Your information will be reviewed and approved, and we’ll let you know when your site is live.

Sharing your page is a breeze – just share the link with your community and encourage them to do the same.

How do DonorMatch Pages work?

  • Step 1: Register to create your DonorMatch Page
Click on the Register button and enter your information into the register form. You will be asked for your personal information (like your full name and phone number) so your transplant center can approve your page. Your full name and contact information will not be posted on your personal page. On the second step, you will be asked to fill in the information that you want to appear on your personal page. Complete the consent form to acknowledge that the information you share in step 2 will be published on your personal page, which is a public site.
  • Step 2: Personalize
Personalize your page with your information and pictures. Our team can help you craft your unique page to ensure your story will resonate and inspire.
  • Step 3: Approval & Confirmation
You’ll receive a confirmation message immediately after you submit your personalized content. Your transplant center will review your information and approve your page before it is published. When your page is live, you’ll receive an email with the link to your page so you can start sharing it with your community.
  • Step 4: Promote your DonorMatch Page
Share your page link with your community and encourage your community to share it, too! Include the link in emails, text messages, letters and social media posts.

What to Include in Your DonorMatch Page

Your DonorMatch Page is a way to provide your community with key details about yourself, your background, and the reason you need a kidney transplant.
  • Share your story: Describe life before your kidney disease and how your kidney disease affects you and your loved ones. Discuss what your treatment is like, how you feel, and how a transplant can improve your quality of life
  • Add relatable personal details: Include your hometown, profession, or hobbies to connect with your audience
  • Highlight your community involvement: Share volunteer experiences, or highlight moments where you have positively impacted others’ lives
  • Protect your privacy: Avoid sharing personal details like home addresses, emails, or phone numbers
  • Review for accuracy: Proofread your content to ensure it’s error-free. Use a proof-reading platform like Word or Google Docs with built-in spell check tools
  • Maintain ethical boundaries: Do not offer financial compensation or incentives to potential donors. Any form of compensation in exchange for an organ donation is illegal

Choosing the Right Photos

  • Include high-quality photos of yourself and your favorite activities. If you include photos with family members or friends, be sure to get their approval first
  • Use photos that highlight what you love or miss doing, and add relevant contextual messaging in your written portion
  • These photos help others gain a deeper understanding of your life, your kidney transplant journey, and your personal interests
